Seacamp

Seacamp
“The location isn’t just ideal; it’s in the middle of paradise.”

Is your child looking for a summer of fun and science with the ocean? Seacamp’s Marine Science and SCUBA programs are second to none. The location is ideal for their goal of instilling a love of the ocean in every camper who attends. This, complemented by the outstanding staff and atmosphere, makes Seacamp an unforgettable experience.

Seacamp is located just minutes away from a beautiful living coral reef. As a former camper turned staff member explains, “The location isn’t just ideal; it’s in the middle of paradise.” And in describing the environment at camp, “The family dynamic that develops between the staff and campers (both returning and new) in an 18-day session happens at no other camp. I believe this inclusive environment gives people a home away from home, where they’re constantly bettering themselves, their lives, and the lives of others simply by working hard to acquire skills they can apply to any context in life.”

“They’ll leave camp equipped with a skillset enabling them to pursue their passions and make them into realities.”

Campers can take the science program for a fun learning experience during the summer. A staff member describes the educational aspect of camp: “The active, non-classroom learning the kids are engaged in every day in their science classes makes seacamp unique. This type of teaching can inspire kids who are both over-enthused and completely unenthused about school to continue learning and growing as a person; and they’ll leave camp equipped with a skillset enabling them to pursue their passions and make them into realities.”

The staff is extensively trained for a full month to maintain Seacamp’s impressive safety record. A Seacamp parent and past staff member says “The staff is united and focused throughout their initial weeks of training. The campers that attend Seacamp can feel this through the staff’s common bond and enthusiasm of  teaching and instructing in the ocean environment. Once you become a Seacamp staff member you become a part of the Seacamp Family. It is a lifelong opportunity!”

Seacamp is the ideal place for a camper who enjoys watersports in a safe environment

Seacamp is the ideal place for a camper who enjoys watersports in a safe environment or learning science in a fun and engaging way. One Seacamp alumna says “Seacamp is special to me because this is the place that I was first able to truly be myself. Seacamp allowed me to be surrounded by other children and adults that all loved the ocean as much I did. How wonderful! As an adult, I still find that I need the connection of the ocean through this amazing camp. Believe it or not, I would not be who I am today had I not attended Seacamp as a child and later worked at Seacamp as a young adult. I am now able to see how special Seacamp is to my own children and live my camp experiences vicariously through them.”
